Atiku condemns killings in Zamfara

The Presidential candidate of the Opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar, jad condemned the killing of innocent citizens in Zamfara State by gunmen and the non-intervention of the federal government to protect the people and their property in the territory.
Atiku in tweet on his official handle, @atiku, titled: – My message to the good people of Zamfara State – lamented: “I am saddened by the banditry and killings that have affected your state and by God’s grace, I will do everything possible to bring the killers to book and prevent further killings.
He noted: “The recent killings in Magami Village in Faru District of Maradun LGA of Zamfara is one too many.
The people of Zamfara and, indeed, all peoples of Nigeria deserve to live in peace and safety.”
He observed that protest in the state over the killings. it was highlighted that, “The protesters began by blocking the highway and burning tyres, but as we speak, the local government secretariat in Tsafe is on fire.”
