Ayodele Olawande drives youth empowerment with NiYA initiative
Minister of State for Youth Development, Mr. Ayodele Olawande, has reshaped the landscape of youth development in Nigeria, making a lasting impact on the lives of young people across the country.
Under his visionary leadership, the Ministry of Youth has introduced transformative initiatives that are set to benefit over seven million Nigerian youths within the next two years through the Nigerian Youth Academy (NiYA).
The NiYA initiative is a groundbreaking platform designed to equip youths with essential skills and education, empowering them to navigate Nigeria’s evolving socio-economic landscape.
This dynamic program features a wide range of activities, including job fairs, live and online classes, a vibrant digital community, and a lifetime resource hub. By fostering an environment of skill-building and learning, NiYA aims to unlock the potential of young Nigerians and set them on a path to success.

In collaboration with the private sector, his efforts have created over 10,000 job opportunities, boosting employment and economic growth in key industries.
One of the standout achievements of his tenure is the “National Youth Entrepreneurship Program,” which offers training, mentorship, and continuous support for aspiring young entrepreneurs, ensuring that they not only launch businesses but succeed in a competitive market.
