Bandits invade community in Zamfara in search of missing rifles, kidnap all men, boys, kill over 20 residents
Bandits loyal to their leader, Lawalli Damina, went on rampage over two missing riffles belonging to one of their murdered members in Randa Community, Maru Local Government Area, Zamfara State, killing over 20 persons. The bandits, in the violent operations, kidnapped all the men and boys resident in the community when they cannot account for the missing rifles.
Lawalli Damina, leading his boys, was said to have kidnapped all the males, comprising men and boys, including children of residents of Randa community, when they could not account for the two missing rifles belonging to two loyalists of Lawalli Damina, killed by a member of another bandit group when they were fighting for a girl in the community.
Randa in Mutumji ward, Dansadau Emirate, is located adjacent to Kuyanbana forest within the boundaries of Katsina, Kaduna, Kebbi and Niger states, which is under the siege of bandits.
