Bandits kill police officer, kidnap wife of district head, 14 others
Bandits in an operation in the early hours of Sunday, killed a mobile police officer detailed to the Maru Police Division, kidnapped the wife of the district head and 14 other residents, while invading the Ruwandoruwa community, Maru Local Government Area, Zamfara State, North West Nigeria.

A resident of the community was cited to have narrated that the bandits struck in the early hours of about Sunday 12.30am.
The bandits were said to be shooting sporadically as they invaded the community, and killed the police officer before gaining access to the residence of the district head.
