The District Monarch Head of Malumfashi in Katsina State, Justice Sadiq Mahuta (retd.), has called on Nigerians to join hands with their leaders to develop their respective communities.
The monarch gave the charge when the pro tem executive members of the newly formed Malumfashi Development Association led by its chairman, Salisu Bawa, paid him a courtesy visit at his palace in Malumfashi on Tuesday.
The traditional ruler also stressed the need for selfless service for the community to enhance economic growth and development, especially at the grassroots.
He said, “There is a need for the people in the community to enhance the development of Malumfashi town because the government alone cannot shoulder the full responsibility.

“Malumfashi is known for its highly committed industrious people who are living peacefully in other states pursuing their legitimate businesses and other things.”
The Galadima of Katsina urged MADA officials to be focused on achieving its set objectives while calling on them to promote peace and live above board for the development of the local government area.
“For me, community development is about trying to improve the lives of the people and the community in general through community-oriented programmes,” he said.
He commended the association’s executive members for their desire and commitment towards the town’s development.
Earlier, the MADA interim chairman, said the purpose of the visit was to brief the monarch on the formation of the association and its objectives.
