Biafra Nations League turns down appointment offer by Tompolo for pipeline surveillance
The Biafra Nations League (BNL), operating in the Gulf of Guinea and the Bakassi Peninsula have turned down appointments offered to members of the group by Government Ekpemukpolo – Tompolo – for surveillance and protection of oil pipelines in the Niger Delta

BnL leader in the Bakassi corridor, Ita Bassey, acknowledging that Tompolo contacted the League for recruitment, said that a member of the BnL militia, Black Marine, reported the recruitment consultation to the BnL leaders.
Bassey had explained that the militia rejected the recruitment offer because Tompolo cannot use the BnL to make money in his oil surveillance contract awarded by the federal government.
