Bruce plans Newcastle transfer splurge
Newcastle could be set for a summer influx with Steve Bruce keeping tabs on a number of players, according to the Chronicle. With negotiations continuing over PSG defender Stanley Nsoki, the Magpies are also interested in Amiens defender Emil Krafth, unattached goalkeeper Jake Turner, and attacking players Allan Saint-Maximin and Jarrod Bowen.
Charlie Austin and Andy Carroll are still also on Bruce’s radar, but they aren’t the immediate priority and may have to wait and see what happens with Newcastle’s other business.
In other news, Arsenal prioritise other targets ahead of Thauvin.
Florian Thauvin remains on Arsenal’s radar, but the Gunners have prioritised other targets, reports La Provence.
Former Newcastle United winger Thauvin has been thriving since returning to Marseille, hitting double figures in the goal charts in each of the past three seasons, including a career high of 22 strikes in 2017-18.
And, while Arsenal are interested in the France international, he is not at the top of their agenda just yet as they attempt to finalise other deals.
