Buhari consults Chadian President on insurgency
President Muhammadu Buhari at the State House, Abuja, held a consultation meeting with the President of Chad, General Mahamat Deby, on issues relating to violent uprising in the Lake Chad axis of the Nigeria and Chad border. The meeting was at the instance of President in search of better collaboration between the countries in handling terrorism in the border territories.
The Interim President and Chairman of the Transitional Military Council in Chad, General Mahamat Deby, dialogued with President Buhari on the battle to contain perpetrators of terrorism in the Lake Chad, where Boko Haram and the ISWAP have been tormenting Nigeria, in particular, with occasional incursion into Chad.
