Buhari responds to Buni-led committee decision to shift APC convention 2 weeks
President Muhammadu Buharihas approved the postponement of the ruling APC national convention initially slated for Feb 26.
The Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, CECPC, chaired by the Yobe State Governor, Mai Bala Buni, met and made the decision Sunday evening.
It has now been shifted two-weeks more.
The development is occasioned by logistics problem.
But many of the outspoken party members, including Lukman Salihu, ex-DG of the Progressive Governors Forum, have been criticizing the caretaker committee for its ill-preparedness.
The highlight of the convention is the party’s primary for the residential candidate of the party in the 2023 presidential race.
