Buhari supporters embark on streets, markets campaign in Kaduna
The supporters of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaduna State have concentrated their campaign and support mobilization for the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari in the February 16 presidential poll to the streets and markets across the state. Reinforcing the campaign mobilization of the President’s supporters, Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State gave the party supporters the guarantee that the election is almost a walkover for Buhari, noting that Kaduna has for decades been his state of residence.
It was gathered that majority APC supporters and followers are youths, which further include the not so young to run agitators. The supporters were said to take to the streets and markets in buses and other vehicles with speakers blaring music, all set to hit the roads campaigning across the state.
It was gathered that they have been to other states, and are to proceed from Kaduna to more states. But first, they stop to see the governor, who is also a chieftain of the party.
El-Rufai expressed joy to receive them, with assurances that Kaduna is for the APC. The governor welcomed them, raising fingers of four plus four in the air, signifying his support for President Buhari and his re-election bid.
The group, ‘Forward With Buhari’ was said to have told the governor their selfless campaign is their way of showing love and support for the APC and President Buhari.
From the Kaduna Government House, they proceeded to streets dancing. They also took their campaign to the markets, preaching the PMB re-election message.
