Canada qualifies for World Cup after 36 Years
Canada on Sunday qualified for the World Cup after 36 years, following 4-0 defeat of Jamaica in Toronto in a qualifier game.
Canada’s goals were scored by Cyle Larin, Tajon Buchanan, Junior Hoilett, and Adrian Mariappa own goal, qualifying the country for the first ever world cup in 36 years for the finals in Qatar 2022.
This will be Canada’s second appearance at the World Cup; the country appeared last in 1986 in Mexico.
