Catholic Church fixes June 17 for mass burial of Owo massacre
The Catholic Mission has fixed June 17 for mass burial of the worshipers massacred by terrorists at St Francis Catholic Church Owo, Ondo State on June 5.
The terrorists stormed the church during Sunday service, killing over 40 worshippers, and injuring many others.
The Catholic Diocese of Ondo in a statement indicated that the mass burial for the murdered worshipers has been scheduled for Friday, June 17.
The Director of Social Communication of the Diocese of Ondo, Revd. Father Augustine Ikwu, was gathered to have revealed that the mass burial will hold at a new cemetery, along Emure-Ile Road in Owo, Ondo State.
It was disclosed that several injured worshipers are still receiving medical treatment at the Federal Medical Centre and the St. Louis Catholic Hospital, in Owo, and other private hospitals.
Ondo State government has also opened intervention fund account for victims of the Catholic Church massacre.
