Chelsea have suffered a huge setback ahead of their second game of the season following an injury suffered by its captain, Reece James.

Chelsea reporter Nathan Gissing, the newly-appointed Blues captain, has picked up a fresh hamstring injury.

He picked up the injury in Sunday’s Premier League opener against Liverpool.

The 23-year-old played 76 minutes before pulling up and was then replaced by Frenchman Malo Gusto for his club debut.

It is claimed James is having a later scan today but the early signs are not good for the Chelsea skipper.

Chelsea have reportedly received even more bad news today on a news day that has become a very negative one for the club so far.
