Chioma Akpotha, Kate Henshaw attacked by thugs in Etiosa
Chioma Akpotha, a renowned actress, claimed to have been attacked by hoodlums during the ongoing governorship polls.
Nollywood actress Chioma Akpotha has once again cried out on social media over her experience at her polling unit for the governorship election.
Akpotha sits in the backseat of a moving Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) with another lady, as she gives a live-streamed narration of the events that just occurred, supposedly a short distance from Victoria Garden City (VGC), Ajah.
She revealed that she couldn’t even bring out her phone to update fans when she got to her polling unit as some thugs attacked her with knives and bottles.
“They destroyed by side mirrors. I don’t know the extent of the damage to the car but I had to run for my life. They wanted to stab me; thank God I came with some people. What happened to the free and fair elections they promised us?” Akpotha lamented.

The video shows her vehicle pulling up to a van with the inscription ‘OP MESA’ parked by the roadside manned by uniformed military officers.
After reporting the situation to them, the officers attempt to calm her down, assuring her that troops had been deployed to get the situation under control.
The actress however tells her followers that she would not be returning to complete the exercise.
Meanwhile, Kate Henshaw has taken to social media to call out Rasheedat Adu, the chairman of Eti-Osa local government.
The actress, who is at her polling unit for the Lagos state governorship election, added that the politician tried to use her thugs to intimidate her.
Henshaw also added that Adu probably got hostile toward her because she told her off during the presidential election.

The actress, in a video on Twitter, revealed that the politician came to rile the people in the local government against her and issued instructions in Yoruba to her thugs hanging around.
According to Henshaw, people were chanting slogans, and one of Adu’s men said he would slap her while another pointed at her from a distance.
She also added that the politician probably tried to intimidate her because she got told off during the presidential election.
The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Saturday cast his vote in the governorship and state assembly elections, saying that the electoral process is not supposed to be violent.
