Collapsed school fence kills two in Lagos
A 3-year-old boy and a 9-year-old girl died after the fence of the Covenant Point Academy school building collapsed on them at Ajose Street, in the Amukoko area of Lagos State, on Sunday.
The fence reportedly crushed the boy’s head while the girl, passing by at the time, felt unconscious after the impact. She died later in hospital.
The owner of the school has been arrested.
Neighbours said the building has no plan or any kind of structure.
Officials from the Lagos State Building Control Agency visited the area on Sunday morning, September 11, to inspect the building.
