How arsonists burnt CBN staff, wife to death, Police arrest suspects
Tragedy struck on New Year day as a couple, Kehinde Fatinoye and Bukola, were burnt to death in a mysterious fire at their residence in Ibara Government Reservation Area in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
The Ogun State Police Command was gathered to have commenced swift investigation, leading to the arrest of suspected arsonists.
The arsonists were suspected to have traced the couple to their residence, and set their building ablaze.
The victims were said to be burnt beyond recognition. The police and health officers were said to have packed the remains of the burnt couple at the scene and taken to the hospital in an ambulance.
The police were said to have disclosed that the arsonists kidnapped the son of the murdered husband and wife, with the housemaid, threw the kidnapped victims into a river along the Adigbe-Obada axis of Aboekuta.
Kehinde was identified as a staff of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), and his wife Bukola as a staff of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta.
