Delta community kicks against Olu of Warrri’s allocation of land to army
The Oghara Traditional Council in Ethiope West Local Government Area of Delta State has kicked against the recent handing over by the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse lll, of an expanse of land they claim belongs to Oghara, to the Nigerian Army.
Protesting the allocation, the council led by the Ovie of Oghara Kingdom, Noble Eshemitan Orefe lll, said the handing over of the land at Otegbo, which the Itsekiri call Obitugbo village, could trigger “unnecessary inter communal civil unrest in the area.”
