Dubai returnee, two others killed as Enugu traders protest
Bonaventure Nwodo, a Dubai returnee, was among the three people who were reportedly killed in a protest following the sealing of their shops in Ogbete Main Market, Enugu State, by Governor Peter Mbah over noncompliance with his ban on sit-at-home.
It was gathered that several others were also injured during the protest that occurred on Wednesday, July 26.
According to reports, the protest turned violent after security operatives allegedly opened fire, killing at least three persons and injuring others.

However, the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Enugu State Command, DSP Daniel Ndukwe, in a statement said the protest turned violent after it was hijacked.
“Normalcy has been restored at Ogbete Market Enugu and its surroundings.
The initially peaceful protest was hijacked and made to become violent,” he said.
