EFCC to Create more awareness on menace of economic and financial crimes
The Port Harcourt Zonal Commander of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Assistant Commander of the EFCC, ACE Nwanneka Nwokike has assured Nigerians that the Commission would not relent in its enlightenment drives against all forms of economic and financial crimes.
He gave this assurance in Port Harcourt on Thursday, June 2, 2022 while receiving the Comptroller of Immigration, Rivers Marine Command, Onne, Francisca Dakat, who paid him a Courtesy Visit in his office.
Nwokike explained that the EFCC is on a vigorous mission aimed at sensitizing the public, especially the younger generation in Primary and Secondary Schools, as well as those in institutions of higher learning, in order to stem the tide of corrupt practices. He expressed delight with the visit of the Immigration boss, stressing that “all hands must be on deck in the overall need to put Nigeria on the path of growth and zero tolerance for corruption.”
Earlier, Dakat said that she was in the EFCC Zonal Command to seek more corporation in the fight against corruption within the South-South zone. “I came to solicit for your cooperation. I know that there had been that corporation. The truth is that if there is no corporation among agencies or synergy and information sharing, there is bound to be difficulties in curbing criminality. We need to synergise to share information more and more, she said.”
