Effects of egg yolk on people with high blood pressure
Egg yolk is the inner part of an egg, which many people eat together with the egg white. They are an excellent source of cholesterol and vitamins, hence making them very good for the body. Eggs possess incredible health benefits when eaten whole. However, for the sake of enlightenment, this article will show you how the intake of egg yolk affects patients who are diagnosed with high blood pressure.
Egg yolk contains a compound known as peptides, which has been shown to lower blood pressure in rats. Scientists suggest that it may have the same effects on humans; however, more studies are needed to actually prove this. Contrary to popular belief, information obtained from Medicalnewstoday has proven that consuming egg yolks can help to reduce high blood pressure.
However, it is important to also eat egg yolk in moderation because excessive intake of it may have devastating effects on your health. Nutritionists recommend consuming 1-2 eggs in a day for good health. Egg yolk can only be separated from the egg whites when boiled. Hence, boiling your egg is one of the healthiest ways of consuming it.
