Ekiti 2018: PDP conducts primary election May 8
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has fixed May 8, 2018 for the conduct of its primary election to choose its candidate for the July 14, 2018 governorship
The date was decided at a meeting of the PDP National Working Committee in Abuja.
The event will hold three days after the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) holds its primary election to nominate its candidate for the election.
A memo signed by the National Organising Secretary of the PDP, Col. Austin Akobundu (rtd), commun8icated the date to the PDP State Chairman in Ekiti, Chief Gboyega Oguntuase.
The election timetable released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), indicates that political parties contesting the Ekiti governorship election have between April 15 to May 15 this year to conduct primary elections to choose their candidates for the election.
