Ekiti: Tinubu, Osoba, others meet in Abuja
APC National Leader Ahmed Tinubu, ex-Gov. Segun Osoba and a select group of APC leaders from the south west had a secret meeting at the Lagos State Government Lodge Annex in Abuja on Tuesday.
The meeting was part of efforts to find a solution to the impasse that resulted from the Ekiti State APC governorship primaries.
Also in attendance were most of the contestants.
A rescheduled election will come up Friday
According to the party’s National Publicity Secretary Bolaji Abdullahi, the National Working Committee took the decision after considering the report of its panel sent to conduct the primaries.
The Saturday election was marred by violence, leading 27 of the 33 contestants to call for a new election committee for the new exercise.
