Erik ten Hag gets another transfer boost at Old Trafford
Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has received another transfer boost.
National Daily understands that forward Marcus Rashford is set to sign a new five-year contract at Old Trafford after agreeing personal terms with the club over an extension.
The England international has been locked in talks with the club over a new deal for the last 12 months.
Rashford’s current deal expires next summer and he’s attracted interest from Paris Saint-Germain.
The French side were willing to hand Rashford superior wages than he’s been offered by United but the 25-year-old made it clear that he intended to remain with his boyhood club.
According to the Athletic, a deal between Rashford and the club has been verbally agreed and the final details are being ironed out.
It’s a huge boost for Erik ten Hag. The Dutchman helped Rashford to his best season at the club in the last campaign.
The attacker recently witnessed his his best tally in a single season after hitting 30 goals in 56 appearances.
Rrashford is likely to become the highest earner at United after David De Gea’s exit.
