Fela’s dancer killed by one-chance criminals
AFRO-BEAT maestro, Femi Anikulapo-Kuti is sad over the loss of his late father, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti’s female dancer, Dodo Mayana.
Dodo as she was fondly called was found dead at Grammar school bus/ stop along Ojodu Beger, Lagos. Her death comes few days to the commencement of Felabration, the yearly music fiesta in honour of late Fela Anikulapo-Kuti.
According to Femi, the circumstances surrounding the death dancer was very suspicious as she was found disposed of her personal effects.
Femi who broke the news of the sad loss via his twitter page alleged that the late dancer was murdered and regretted that the police, as usual won’t be helpful in bringing her killers to justice.
Hear him, “Heard Dodo who sells outside the Shrine was killed by a hit and run car on her way home by grammar School opposite Omole estate. I’m so sad. Sounds more like Dodo was mugged because when we got to her nothing was found on her, no money, no phone. Mehn sad.
“Dodo was such a nice and friendly person RIP. May those who did this not go free. Unfortunately our police might never find them. She was mugged (they now say most likely she took one chance) killed and dumped by grammar school.”
