FIFA holds meeting with confederations on FIFA Club World Cup and Nations League
Following the proposal put forward at the FIFA Council meeting in Bogota, FIFA today met with confederations to continue discussions and dialogue related to the revamped FIFA Club World Cup and the creation of a new Nations League.
Taking place at the Home of FIFA in Zurich, today’s meeting aimed to provide an opportunity to build on the on-going dialogue and collaboration-taking place between FIFA and confederations, as well as provide further information and respond to any queries that were raised during the FIFA Council meeting in Bogota.
Today’s discussion took place in a friendly and positive environment with a decision being taken to task a working group to analyse further the relevance and feasibility of staging both competitions.
The working group will be composed of the general secretaries of the six confederations and FIFA.
