FIFA Ranking: Super Eagles rise five spots, World Cup opponents drop

Football governing body, FIFA, recently published the new rankings of national teams.
Compared to their position the previous month, the Super Eagles have climbed five places and now occupy the 47th position while they are sixth in the continental ranking,National Daily learnt.
Tunisia, Senegal and Congo DR are the top three teams in Africa, followed by Morocco and Egypt.
Rivals to book a ticket to the next African Nations Cup – South Africa, Libya and Seychelles – are placed 72nd, 100th, and 194th in the global ranking.
Nigeria’s foes at the 2018 World Cup Argentina, Croatia and Iceland have plummeted from their current positions, with the South Americans now fifth, Croatia 18th and the Nordic country 22nd.
