Fowler in another multi-billion naira fraud; EFCC grills him again
Babatunde Fowler, former chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service, is back in the EFCC office in Lagos—for a fresh N9.2-bn fraud allegation.
Fowlers is facing the allegation in respect to his administration of the Lagos State Internal Revenue years ago.
The amount was traced to his personal account.
The FIRS former chairman was on November 2 invited for questioning by the EFCC over a N5bn-fraud in the agency under his watch until 2019 when President Muhammadu Buhari sacked him.
The anti-graft agency detained some officials of the FIRS over alleged multi-billion naira fraud in 2019.
