Golden Skye holds soccer championship
GRAND finale of the Golden Skye Soccer championship for teams in Ajegunle and Tolu axis in Lagos state. 8 teams started the race.
According to the organizer the registration was free. Third place match ended 2-1 in favour of Ark fc who defeated Golden Skye FC.
Two penalties were missed by Ark fc as one hit the woodworks while the goalkeeper of Golden skye saved one to stand between the opponents and more goals.
Eloka Franklyn and Ifeanyi Linus got the two goals for Ark fc. In the final game, Dynamic fc came up against Chelsea Feeders fc. The game ended goaless after 90 minutes.
Chelsea Feeders Fc converted 4 of their kicks as against Dynamic’s 2. Winners got the sum of 30,000 with a giant trophy, second team got 15,000 while the third placed team got 10,000 for their efforts.
The organizer was Wisdom the CEO of Golden Skye music and entertainment limited. Artists performed at intervals as the organizer said it was all about music and sports. Though not a football lover, he said the success of this event will prompt him to be an ardent lover and follower of football. He promised to continue funding the event annually and used the opportunity to call on corporate Nigeria to help keep the youths off the streets through competitions like this.
