Gov Makinde provides 100 Patrol Vehicles to strengthen Amotekun
Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has made provision of 100 operational patrol vehicles to strengthen the Amotekun Security Outfit in combating insecurity in Oyo State.
Governor Makinde handing over the vehicles to the security outfit at the Government House, Agodi, Ibadan, expressed the anticipation that the vehicles will reinforce the Amotekun in combating crimes, including declaration of war on hoodlums causing chaos in the state.

The governor disclosed that the state government has plans to recruit more personnel into the Amotekun corps, including providing adequate machinery to support their operations for the safety of lives and properties.
The Director General of the Oyo Command of the Amotekun Corps, Brigadier–General, Kunle Toogun, expressed appreciation to the Governor for ensuring that the Corps, as Security one of the pillars of Oyo State Government, is empowered to deliver on its mandate.
