Gov Yahaya Bello celebrates dismissal of Oshiomhole from APC leadership
Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State may have subtly celebrated the dismissal of Adams Oshiomhole from the leadership of the ruling All Progressives congress (APC) by the National Executive Committee (NEC) which dissolved the National Working Committee (NEC) on Thursday.
Governor Bello on Channels Television programme, Politics Today. on Friday, disgustingly mocked the dismissed APC national chairman as a good leader that offended no party member. Governor Bello in a seeming metaphoric statement was of the view that the dissolution of the APC NWC and appointment of a Caretaker Committee has nothing to do with Oshiomhole stepping on anybody’s toes. The Kogi governor may be misleading Oshiomhole into self-disbelief of the reality of his conflicts with Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State, beside others like Senator Rochas Okorocha, former Governor of Imo State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, former Governor of Ogun State, and others.
Governor Bello further beguiled the former APC national chairman into another self-disbelief in his statement that Oshiomhole did not “offend anyone and nobody offended him”.
The Kogi governor further stated that “He will continue to play his role in strengthening the party.” If Governor Bello was honest to himself that Oshiomhole did his best to strengthen the party, why did Bello not oppose the decision to dissolve the NWC led by Oshiomhole.
Governor Bello may have been celebrating the opposite, hiding the reality of his personal feelings in the dismissal of Oshiomhole from APC leadership and taking the party leadership to the north in the newly appointed caretaker committee.
