Gunmen abduct Assembly member in Sokoto
A member of the Sokoto State House of Assembly, representing Gudu state Constituency, Sani Yakubu Gudu, has been abducted by suspected armed bandits.
It was gathered that the legislator was abducted along Kware-Illela expressway on Friday morning.
Confirming the abduction of the state legislator, Sokoto State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Cordelia Nwawe, said, the Police is looking into the matter and will address the press as soon as investigation is concluded.
The Legislator is a member of the All Progressives Congress APC and is seeking re-election to return to the state Assembly in the March 2 election.
