Hell let loose in Benue; many feared killed
Many people have been feared killed in a fuel tanker explosion at the Amoke village of Apa Local Government Area in Benue State.
The incident occurred on Monday morning when the petroleum tanker creered off the road, and burst into flames.
Eye witnesses could not confirm the number of deaths.
But the Corps Commander of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) in Benue State, Yakubu Mohammed, who confirmed the incident, said only three persons were killed. Nobody got injured.
According to him, the incident was due to brake failure.
It took hours for the fire service to put out the inferno.
