Herbalist arrested for raping a sick patient’s mother
A 32-year-old herbalist, identified as Monday Ishaku, has been nabbed by police operatives in Bauchi State for allegedly r@ping a sick patient’s mother in Anguwan Ruga area of the state.
It was gathered that the suspect was arrested on Tuesday, September 6, following a report lodged at Tafawa Balewa Divisional Police Headquarters by the victim’s husband, Yalda Istifanus.
SP Ahmed Mohammed Wakil, spokesperson of the command, in a statement on Monday, September 12, said Istifanus reported that his 19-year-old daughter, Mirable, fell sick and he took her to the suspect who claimed to be a herbalist, for treatment.
The suspect claimed that his wife, Rejoice Yalda, is responsible for their daughter’s sickness because she belongs to a secret society but promised to treat the duo. However, the suspect was said to have had canal knowledge of the victim, Rejoice Yalda, after dr#gging her at his house.
