Husband murders wife, drinks poison in Niger
A 45-year-old man, identified as Adeniyi Jose, has reportedly strangled his wife, Chioma Gloria Ibeh, to death over an allegation of infidelity.
The incident occurred in Suleja, Niger State on Monday.
Source close to the scene of the event said Adeniyi consumed a poisonous substance believed to be sniper shortly after the ‘murder’ of his wife.
Neighbors however, rushed the Ondo-born Adeniyi to Suleja General Hospital, where he is said to be receiving treatment.
The couple have been married since 2014 with a son.
Until Chioma’s death, she was a staff of General Hospital, Suleja Niger state.
