I want to win the World Cup – Amaju Pinnick
By Esther Egbe
Nigeria Football Federation President, Amaju Pinnick has said the country’s intention in participating in the Russia 2018 World Cup, is not to make up the numbers but to make history.
“Like I keep saying, I don’t have regret saying it; our aim is to win the World Cup and that’s the truth,” said the NFF President as he made preparations to put the Port Harcourt stadium in shape for the coming friendly.
‘When people ask me what is your target? You want to get to the third round, I say no we want to win the world cup.”
According to him, te simple reason is that nobody want his child to finish their or last in any competition.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria are to play Congo DR in an international friendly on May 28 in Port Harcourt.
They will play another friendly against England at Wembley stadium, ahead of a final outing against Czech Republic before the World Cup starts.
