Igbokwe reacts to Peter Obi’s speech at the NBA conference
On the Sunrise Daily Program on Channels Television, Editor-in-Chief, Union Newspaper, Casmir Igbokwe, reacted to Peter Obi’s speech at the NBA conference yesterday.
Casmir Igbokwe was asked if, as he listened to the candidates who were presenting themselves for the “big job” in 2023 at the NBA yesterday, did they meet the expectations or the yearnings of Nigerians.
Casmir Igbokwe said that unfortunately Tinubu did not come but he was represented by his running mate, Senator Kashim Shettima. He said Atiku was there and he made an attempt to clarify and say certain things that he wanted to do and Peter Obi “waoh the crowd with his eloquence.
He said he heard Peter Obi saying that the 2023 election will not be about tribe, it is not going to be about religion, but it is going to be about competence, character, and what a candidate will do for the people.
Casmir Igbokwe reacted by saying that what Peter Obi said is what Nigerians want to hear now. He said it is not a message of tribalism like before but the talk of how a problem will be solved.ribal thing or during the election people collect 5000 or 10,000 naira, we are going no where. He said at the end of the day, let’s pray we continue to have Nigeria. He said this is the period we need to elect somebody who will transform Nigeria.
Casmir Igbokwe finally reacted by saying that he is satisfied with what Peter Obi said at the NBA yesterday. He said he was satisfied with his disposition, candour, and the way he approached the issues.
