Imo residents scramble for cash after President Buhari’s visit (Video)
Some residents were seen scrambling for cash at a busy expressway in Owerri, the capital city of Imo State, shortly after President Muhammadu Buhari left the city on Tuesday, September 13, 2022.
Buhari paid a one-day official visit to Imo State on Tuesday and commissioned some projects executed by Governor Hope Uzodimma. He also met with some Igbo leaders during his visit.
Mr. President was welcomed to the city by a mammoth crowd who came from different parts of the state. The president returned to Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, on Tuesday.
In a video circulating on social media, some residents wearing outfits with the face of the Imo State governor, Hope Uzodimma, on them and others scrambled for cash in the middle of a busy expressway on Tuesday evening.
According to The PUNCH, the people were part of the crowd that welcomed President Muhammadu Buhari to the city earlier on Tuesday.
