Iyaye receives report from team Rivers steering committee for Edo 2020
The Commissioner for Sports; Hon. Barr. Boma Iyaye Esq. recently received the report of the Steering Committee of Team Rivers ahead of the National Sports Festival in Benin City tagged Edo 2020.
Speaking on behalf of the Committee the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Sports who doubles as the Chairman of the Steering Committee thanked the Hon. Commissioner for the confidence repose on the Members of the Committee who to toiled day and night to ensure the report was ready in three days after the inauguration because of limited time to the start of the Edo 2020.
National Daily learnt that Hon. Boma Iyaye thanked the Chairman and Members of the Committee for an excellent work done and detailed presentations within the shortest possible time and promised to follow the recommendations as outlined step by step so as to avert the challenges of previous festivals and ensure a good outing for Team Rivers in Benin City.
Other Members of the Committee present at the Presentations includes the SA to the Hon. Commissioner for Sports and Secretary of the Committee Sepribo Nimifaa; Mildred Hart
the Acting Director of Rivers State Sports Council, Chioma Christopher, the Festival Secretary of Team Rivers, Opakriba Harry, the Head of Coaches of Team Rivers) and B. M Wifa, the Technical Assistant.
