Jetour launches T2 plug-In hybrid in Nigeria, Bolstering green energy push
Jetour, one of the fastest-growing automotive brands in Nigeria, has introduced a new, high-tech model to the market: the T2 (PHEV).
This plug-in hybrid electric version of the popular T2 lifestyle off-roader combines powerful performance with exceptional fuel efficiency, offering a blend of modern features and sustainable technology.
The arrival of the T2 (PHEV) aligns with the Federal Government’s green energy initiative, as the vehicle can seamlessly switch between its petrol engine and dual electric motors.
This flexibility means drivers can reduce their reliance on fuel, while also having peace of mind that charging is never an issue.
The vehicle features multiple charging options, including fast and slow charging, as well as unique engine charging and brake force charging, which recharges the battery while the car is in motion.
Under the hood, the T2 (PHEV) is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine integrated with two electric motors. This system delivers a combined output of 280 kW (375 hp) and a maximum torque of 610 Nm, backed by a 26.73kWh battery.
This launch comes just months after the Jetour brand was named the “Fastest Growing Brand in Nigeria” at the 2024 NAJA (Nigeria Auto Journalists Association) Awards, a testament to the brand’s rapid success and wide acceptance since its introduction to the local market a year ago.

It also includes Lane Departure Warning, Forward/Backward Collision alerts, and a Wading Sensing System.
For the driver, the vehicle offers a highly interactive experience with an Electronic Gear Shifting System, Smart Entry & Push Start, and multiple Drive Modes (EV, HEV, Eco, Sports, Normal, Snow).
The interior is equipped with a large 15.6-inch LCD touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, intelligent voice command, and a wireless charger. Other premium features include a panoramic roof, a 12-speaker Sony premium sound system, and automatic LED headlamps.
Jetour is offering a five-year or 150,000 km warranty on the T2 (PHEV), providing customers with added assurance for their investment.
