Joe Igbokwe reacts as ‘Unknown Person’ allegedly smuggled N300m worth of drones & military wares into the country
Joe Igbokwe, The Special Adviser on Drainage and Water Resources to the Lagos Government has reacted after military items worth N300m were intercepted by Custom officers in Lagos.
On his official Facebook page, Joe Igbokwe shared a photo of the items that were intercepted. The items intercepted included drones and other military wares. He revealed that the items were smuggled into the country by “unknown terrorist”From the photos displayed, one can easily see some of the items. Some of the items include military caps, surveillance cameras, drones and other military wares. The items were reportedly smuggled illegally into the country.
Amid the security challenges in the country, this is a commendable effort by the Nigerian Customs. No one knows what these items were intended to be for. The security challenges in Nigeria have been more worrisome in days now as gunmen attacked trains. If items like these are seen and recovered on time, some of these ugly incidents would not be happening.
