Judgment deferred until August 19 in Chidimma Adetshina immigration case
Miss Universe Nigeria 2024, Chidimma Adetshina, appeared before the Cape Town Regional Court on Monday as legal proceedings surrounding her immigration status entered another phase.
The court heard arguments from parties involved in the matter but did not deliver an immediate ruling. Instead, the presiding judge reserved judgment, announcing that a decision will be delivered on 19 August.

Although details of Monday’s proceedings were not immediately disclosed, the court’s decision to reserve judgment indicates that it will carefully consider the legal submissions before issuing its ruling next month.
The outcome of the case is expected to provide clarity on Adetshina’s immigration status and could have broader implications for the issues raised during the proceedings.
Adetshina, who was crowned Miss Universe Nigeria 2024, has remained in the spotlight since the controversy first emerged, with supporters and observers closely monitoring the legal process.
The case will resume on 19 August, when the Cape Town Regional Court is expected to deliver its judgment.
