Kaduna agog with ‘Hell Rufai’ protest as NLC shuts down state in mass protest
Kaduna State on Monday was agog as the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and other affiliate labour unions, shut down the state on the commencement of the five-day warning strike over sack of workers by Governor Nasir El-Rufai.
The organized labour displayed a large banner with inscription Hell Rufai—a sarcastic twist on Gov Nasir Rl Rufai—demanding the Kaduna governor to “stop poverty, hunger and insecurity”; also “stop mass sack” and “respect workers and human rights.”
The mass protesting has continued on the streets of Kaduna led by NLC National Chairman, Ayuba Wabba.
