Kaduna Electric achieves triple ISO certifications, cementing commitment to global standards
Kaduna Electric has been awarded the prestigious ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001 certifications, recognizing its adherence to international standards in quality management, occupational health and safety, and environmental management, positioning it as a leader in Nigeria’s power distribution sector.
Kaduna Electric, a key electricity distribution company in Nigeria, has achieved a significant milestone by securing triple International Standard Organisation (ISO) certifications.
The company was awarded ISO 9001 (Quality Management System), ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety Management System), and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System) 1 by Bluestar Management Systems, a prominent Nigerian certification authority.
The Board Chairman of Kaduna Electric, Alhaji Aminu Abubakar Suleiman, formally accepted the certifications, commending the unwavering dedication of the company’s management and staff in reaching this noteworthy achievement.
Alhaji Suleiman urged the entire Kaduna Electric team to maintain their strong commitment to excellence, with the aim of establishing the company as a leading and high-performing entity within Nigeria’s electricity distribution landscape.
He further challenged all employees to diligently work towards not only maintaining the established processes and standards but also continuously striving for improvement.
Engr. Ibrahim Sadoh, representing Bluestar Management Systems, emphasized the rigorous and comprehensive compliance process that Kaduna Electric successfully underwent to attain these internationally recognized certifications.
He lauded the collective efforts demonstrated by the board of directors, the company’s leadership, and all employees for their efficiency in meeting the stringent requirements set forth by the ISO standards.

Elaborating on the significance of the triple certifications, Engr. Sadoh explained that the ISO 14001 certification signifies the implementation of a robust Environmental Management System, ensuring that Kaduna Electric’s operations are conducted in alignment with global best practices for environmental sustainability.
Furthermore, he noted that the ISO 45001 certification recognizes the company’s establishment of Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems, guaranteeing adherence to internationally benchmarked workplace safety standards.
Finally, the ISO 9001 certification reflects Kaduna Electric’s commitment to globally benchmarked processes for consistent and high-quality service delivery to its customers.
