KAI dislodges street hawkers, cart pushers for obstructing traffic
Officials of the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps also known as Kick Against Indiscipline dislodged street hawkers and cart pushers in different areas of the state on Thursday.
This was disclosed in photos shared on X by the state Commissioner for the Environment, Tokunbo Wahab.
According to Wahab, they were dislodged for constituting environmental nuisance and hindering free flow of traffic.
His caption read, “As I instructed, Special Squad Operatives of #LAGESCOfficial /KAI, today, took enforcement action against street hawkers/handcart pushers hindering the free flow of traffic and constituting environmental nuisances at lyana lpaja, Oshodi, Obanibasiri, Airport Road, 7&8, Okota, Oke Afa, Jakande Gate, ljegun Road, lkotun, lgando and Egbeda areas.
“In the process, some of the environmental defaulters were arrested and taken to the LAGESC/KAI headquarters, Oshodi for interrogation and prosecution.”
