Keyamo changes position on forgery, exonerates Tinubu from CSU certificate saga
Festus Keyamo, SAN, Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, on Monday, came up with fresh argument, changing his position, on his earlier definition of forgery during the controversy over the education document of former President Muhammadu Buhari, as debate on the deposition of the Chicago State University on the education document of President Bola Tinubu hits up the polity.
Keyamo on Monday chided a Television Presenter over repetitive citation of his phrase on forgery – “when the supposed author of a document denies ever making it…” in a broadcast conversation.

Keyamo argued that phrase or sentence is not germane to the issue of Chicago State University at hand, since the university did not admit issuing certificate replacement and turned round to deny it.
The Aviation Minister, in his argument, declared:

@fkeyamo
“The level of illiteracy displayed by some of our TV anchors is stunning. I listened to one in particular this morning that kept repeating ‘when the supposed author of a document denies ever making it…’ as if that phrase or sentence is germane to the issue of Chicago State University at hand. This my 2019 tweet below 👇 would have been applicable IF CSU HAD ADMITTED THAT THEY ISSUE REPLACEMENT CERTIFICATES THEMSELVES AND THEN GO ON TO DENY EVER ISSUING THIS PARTICULAR ONE. But this did not happen! So, their comments or testimony or anything at all they say about THAT CERTIFICATE (which is a replacement certificate) IS TOTALLY IRRELEVANT TO PROVE FORGERY.”
Keyamo had in his earlier argument stated: “forgery occurs when the supposed author of a document denied ever making it or denies its authenticity…
In the prevailing circumstance, the CSU is being conceived by many to have denied ever making the replaced certificate the President submitted to the INEC for the 2023 elections.
