Kwara PDP governorship candidate, Atunwa reacts to APC’s victory
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate Hon. Razak Atunwa, in Kwara State has reacted to the outcome of the just concluded governorship election in the State
ND had reported that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) announced the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate in Kwara State, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, as the winner of the March 9 elections.
The result was announced on Sunday, after the total votes were collated at INEC’s office.
At the final declaration held in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, APC polled a total of 331,546 votes.
However, reacting, Atunwa in a statement on his Twitter page on Sunday congratulated AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He also thanked members of the PDP for supporting him
The statement reads, “Whilst the Party considers its next line of action, and without prejudice to any legal process, I offer my congratulations to AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.
“Your commitment and dedication is heart-warming. You all gave your best. We are all winners in the process of democracy.
“I pray that Kwara will continue to be a state of harmony and witness further development in the next administration. My utmost gratitude goes to Almighty God for His blessings.”
