Lagos dominates highest LGs receivers of allocations from Federation Account in 2023
Lagos State has emerged the highest recipient of local government allocations from the Federation Account in 2023.
Among the 30 highest LG recipient of federal allocation in 2023, Lagos has 20 LGAs, followed by FCT, which has 6 councils, Rivers State 2 LGAs, Kano and Bauchi 1 LGA, respectively.
A total of N2.567 trillion was shared to the 774 LGAs from the Federation Account in 2023.
