Lai Mohammed, Ambode for Editors’ Convention
The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed and Akinwunmi Ambode, Lagos State Governor, will address editors at the forthcoming Editors’ Convention, organised by the Nigerian Guild Of Editors, NGE.
With the theme: A Nation In Recession: Whither the Nigerian Media?, the convention will kick off April 28-30, 2017, at the Lagos Airport Hotel, Ikeja.
The convention will be chaired by Malam Kabiru Yusuf, Chairman, Daily Trust Newspapers limited, according to a statement by NGE’s General Secretary, Victoria Ibanga.
Lagos State Governor Akinwunmi Ambode is the Chief Host and will declare the convention open, while the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, is expected to address the editors.

A communication expert and political lobbyist, Emma Agu, would present a paper on the theme of the convention.
The biennial convention, one of the largest gatherings of Nigerian editors, brings together over 300 editors and other media professionals. The forum will produce a new executive to oversee the affairs of the guild in the next two years.
