Man abandons bag containing gun, ammunitions in Lagos
A suspect arrested during a routine stop-and-search operation Badagry area of Lagos abandoned his bag which was later found to contain a pistol and ammunition and ran away on the way to the police station.
Lagos Police Command’s spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the arrest in his verified Twitter handle on Saturday.
Hundeyin said that the suspect was arrested during a routine stop-and-search at the Badagry area of the state.
“One of the passengers staunchly refused to be searched. On the way to the police station, he quietly dropped off his bag,” he said.
Hundeyin attached the contents of the bag to his post which contained a gun and ammunition.
