Man arrested for allegedly defiling and impregnating a 14-year-old girl 

Operatives from the Ogun State Police Command have taken into custody a 28-year-old man named Samuel Ani. He is accused of committing a serious crime by defiling and getting a 14-year-old girl pregnant in the Sagamu area of the state.

The situation came to light when the girl’s father decided to report the matter to the police. He filed a formal complaint at the police station on Wednesday, November 13.

According to a statement made by the police spokesperson, Omolola Odutola, on Friday, the police were able to apprehend the suspect after he has committed the act. Furthermore, the suspect has admitted to defiling her and confessed to the crime he is being accused of.

“The father, identified as Paul, had approached the division to report the crime suspect committed against his daughter. The suspect allegedly defiled the minor and is also accused of impregnating her. The 28-year-old suspect had been arrested and detained by the command,” she said.
